Admittedly the replies in each case must be, to some extent, guesswork, but these are, as I see it, really important points.

I have attached to the file at Nos. 5, 6, 7 &8 the latest material bearing on this issue which we have received from Hong Kong. Paragraph 4 of No. 5 gives a net influx of 111,721 since the 30th November. That is the latest figure. Clearly an influx at this rate cannot be allowed to go on very much longer I think.
