Evacuation of British Nationals and others from
American Arrangements.
The United States Goverment will bring U.S.Nationals back to U.S. American shipping is Pailable to do this at
short notice.

I.R.O.Arrangements.
Copy of 1.R.0. document No. EC/17 follows by airuall. This sets out current plans for dealing with the thirteen thousand European refugees eligible for I.R.0. assistance. · Broadly speaking some three to four thousand Jews are expected to go to Palestine (Israel), while the Philippine Government have offered temporary asylum for non-Jewish refugees.

Possibility of overflow of British sponsored refugees from Hong Kong to Singapore.
This contingency will only arise if total numbers sent to Hong Kong exceed total for which accommodation is available and Foreign office are seeking further information on the number to be expected from H.H. Ambassador, Nanking. Correspondence will be copied to you.
Possible influx of Chinese Refuges into Singapore.
This is considered unlikely, but Foreign office are suggesting to B.. Ambassador, Nanking that he should let you know at once if there are any indications of possibility of Chinese in any number seeking passages to Singapore.
