An Ordinance further to amend the Telecommunication Ordinance,

1936.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof:

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Telecommunication Short title. Amendment Ordinance, 1949, and shall be read as one with the Telecommunication Ordinance, 1936, hereinafter referred to as the Ordinance principal Ordinance.

No. 18 of 1936.

2. Sub-section (1) of section 42 of the principal Ordinance Amendment is hereby amended by the deletion of the words-

of section 42 of the

"or to the concession granted by Ordinance to the Hong Kong principal Telephone Company Limited"

and by the substitution therefor of the words—

"or, except as to sections 2 and 4 hereof, to the concession granted by Ordinance to the Hong Kong Telephone Company Limited".
