Sir,
With reference to your letters 30/11/48 and 23/30/11/48 and to recent telegrams on the subject of the submission of views on points arising from Despatches on operations in the Far East I have the honour to for- ward a copy of the minutes of a meeting of the Sarawak Local Defence Committee which took the matter into con- sideration.

The delay is regretted but it was decided that the matter was one which should be considered in Defence Committee and the Agenda of this recently formed Committee has been heavily weighed with other matters.
