recommended by the Roard of Survey,

I suppose. They are got rid of. If you give me a

conundrum, without giving me the rest, I cannot

understand the question.

If you saw that book put in front of you, by the 23/44

auditor, you would consider that a correct entry,

wouldnt you?

That I should like to know, Dr Atkinson, is, if this

kept at the Central Disinfecting Station, shewing how

things have been received, and how they have been

issued to the several Districts, And the keeper of

these books sends a summary every week to the

Secretary, to enable him to keep this book ?

They are checked by the M. 0. H. and the Sectary,

periodically.

23146

How is it the Secretary, in the evidence he gave

before the Commission, said he had no means of

checking the books, but he thought that those hocks

were kept, because whenever he asked for any

information, he could always get it?

I dont know. I am sure that is the procedure, as I

understand it. You can see the Secretary's initials

in those books, and the M. O. Ħ1B.

It comes to this, that the M. 0. H. has to see that

those books are properly kept, at the Disinfecting

Station?

A.

Oh yes.

A.

No, it is to satisfy the government auditor.
