The foremen had delivered these olsaneing notices. I
have ascertained that the coloured foremen have
delivered these cleansing notices to the houses, hut
the ordinary notices that are issued hy the order f
the Board, are izaued by the Seoretary.
When you speak of cleansing notices, do you mean
those little short notices, what we call small
notices ?

No, I mean those with reference to the cleansing
operations that are carried on every winter.
They are printed forme that are circulated ?
They are practically an intimation to the house
holders that on a certain date, their houses will be
oleansed, hecause it is impossible for an Inspectur
to issue all those personally. It is not, as you will
understand, a legal notice, issued by the Board.
