The Kowloon City question has almost dropped out of the news. The representatives of the squatters have recently visited Canton in the hope of obtaining further gifts of rice and money, which may be forthcoming. There seems however to be no intention on the part of the squatters to aggravate the position by erecting new huts, and they are merely staying put while awaiting the result of diplomatic negotiations on the whole issue.
