His Britannic Kajesty's Embassy present their
compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and have
the honour to acknowledge with thanks the receipt of
the Ministry's memorandum No. #ai (37) ou I 09665 of
April 22nd stating that it has been decided to allow
British subjects and firms who suffered losses during
the anti-British riots at Canton on January 16th to
import replacements on a single occasion duty free.
His Britannic \ajesty's Embassy are indeed
happy to learn that the Chinese Government have been
able to accede to their request for these facilities.
