There were no developments in Kowloon City. Seventy or eighty squatters still remain in the area. Their organisation, which appears to be hampered by internal dissensions and to be breaking up owing to cessation of the flow of funds from Chinese bodies inside and outside the Colony, received welcome and unexpected help towards the end of the month in the form of a considerable sum of money from Chinese in the Philippines.
