Following is text begins.

Squadron Leader Sir Gifford Fox,- To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, whether, in view of the trouble which has arisen over the evictions at Kowloon, he will issue a White Paper setting out the history of the communications which have passed between the British and Chinese Governments since the Treaty of 1898 under which the City of Kowloon was to remain under Chinese Civil Administration; and whether there are to be any further negotiations between the British and Chinese Governments with a view to a final settlement in this matter.

Mr. McNeil.

Discussions are at present in progress. When these are concluded my Right Honourable Friend would be willing in consultation with my Right Honourable Friend the Secretary of State for the Colonies to consider the advisability of issuing a White Paper.
