OFFICE

Dear Seat Cut'd 17/1

feel,

17 January, 1948.

I enclose a copy of a personal signal (No. 10010/MA of the 12th January) from General Ritchie which you may care to see, as it gives a rather fuller account of the incident at Kowloon City than that contained in the telegram from H.M. Ambassador at Nanking, No 31 of the 10th January, 1948.

A further signal (No. 10002/MA of the 16th January) from General Ritchie is also enclosed.

I have also sent copies to Dening of the Foreign Office.

Quicurly,
