All Consulate buildings and houses, Butterfield's Chartered Bank and part of Jardine buildings entirely burned down by large mob which remained uncontrolled for some hours. Four British subjects received wounds believed not serious. Am arranging to evacuate by aircraft tomorrow morning those British women and children willing to leave. Ministry of Foreign Affairs inform me that four British subjects in question are Mr. and Mrs. Williams and Mr. Wood and Mr. Parkhouse of Deacons Ltd.
