inlose a main re-translation and
condensed of two articles by Hervis amBon and Michael Lindsay respectively, about Hong Kong, which appeared in the "Ta Kung Pao" on 16th February. You will observe that the articles were originally witten two years ago, but were not published at the time, Tt is interesting, and we think satisfactory, that the paper and uld have published them now. Their main object in doing so would Beem to be to make it clear to their readere that Chinese nationalist aspirations in regard to Hong Kong and Kowlcon cannot expect to be satisfied until China puts her own house in order. It is also just possible, perhaps, that the editor felt that these articles by British writers to some extent supported the Chinese cuae, but we find it difficult to eee how they do.
