I have been into the figures with the Colonial Veterinary Surgeon, and I know that the amount

collected weekly is only about $1600, and I know that the shroff is under security for $5,000, so I think

there is no risk.

Presumably somebody thought that the question of security was not sufficient, because they went further and instead of being satisfied with $5,000 security,

a regulation is made that the man is not to have more than $500 in his possession.

So somebody thought the

$5,000 security was not sufficient, and it was necessary to make the other regulation.

I am not quite sure that the $500 was not inserted in a

Standing Order for the Shroff before this large amount

of security was imposed.

And have the Standing Orders been amended since ↑ 14978

I am unable to say.
