So far a. I remember Dr Clark told him that section
111 required six inches of lime concrete and two
inches of cement concrete. He really had to make good,
according to the terms of that section,
And that was all the satisfaction he got out of the 14700
Sanitary Board, in answer to his enquiry ▼
So far as my recollection serves ma,
And was any work carried out on that floor ?
That I cannot say now.

To the same man who opens the letters. We have printad forms of application, and one of these is given to the
man. It is printed in English and Chinese, and the man
fills 1 up in Chinese and the clerk fills up the
English.
Bo that I dont say it can be avoided, but it is very
possible for the clerks in the office, who have to deak with these applications, to make a very good thing out
of it. They can delay a license, or delay an applicat-
ion, or help a man socording as they do or do not
receive some monetary consideration ↑
Yes, it is quite possible.
Is that a point which has couurred to you recently,
a long time ago ↑
ог
It occurred sometime ago. Formerly, they used to wand
in petitions, and I had a suspicion that the clerk
charged a man so much for translating these petitions in the first plane something for writing it in Chinass
