I have made almost 1,000 tests here of different kinan of lime, and it is rare to get line here, which does not have a large proportion of some inert material, which is dead. It is dead before you get it on the ground. It is wiry much rarer that you get lime that will stand a big strain. I have put red earth in s briquette, and I have got red earth to stand 25 lbs to the square inab', and that is red sarth, without any
line.
