You understand the word in blank, to be the date ?13.943
Yes. * - An Inspector would make out a long list of
houses, where overcrowding was suspected, and in order to prevent the Inspectors from going from one house to another, it was decided that the warrant should be
signed and the date left blank, with the name of the
house filled in, but that the Inspector should not visit
No 1, and No 3, and No 5 the same night, because after
having visited No 1, he would be sure not to find anyone
in No 3 and No 5. That was the reason the instructions
were given.

The Inspector might get a dozen warrants signed at the
same time, I suppose ?

Referring to the disinfecting of clothing, you said 13948
instructions had boon given to the Inspectors not to
disinfect clothing looked up in boxea. Were these
instructions given verbally, or by notice ?
I really cannot be sure. They are not to disinfect
olean clothing locked up la boxes, unless there is
reason de suppose it is net olsan.
Would it amount to a breach of the law, if the people/3944
