Carbolosene direct through the Crown Agents ?

They did contemplate it.

It appears from this correspondence, that the

Secretary of the Sanitary Board forwarded a sample of

Carbologene to the P. C. M. 0. to have it analysed.

It was forwarded to the Analyst, and the Government

Analyst replied that it is no use sending for disinfect-

ants that cannot be mixed well with water, as he could

not recommend it. I gather that Carbolosene did not mix

well with water.

Dr Clark presumably made that statement on the recommend- ation of Mr Reidie. We must make a note that Dr Clark

must be examined on that point

that the Board decided to use Jeyes Fluid.

On the 16th April 1902, there was an analysis by Mr 13459 Browne, the Government Analyst, and on the 19th March 1902, there was a comparative analysis, also from Mr Brown, During 1901 and 1902, a comparative estimate is
