Ies, the usual procedure in that is the tine draws near I write up to the Government and ask for authority for these

contracts to be alvortised in thres issues of the Gazette

and the Chinese papers. At the same time I send up forma

of tender. These notifications are then published in the

Gazette and in the Chinese papers. The usual procedure then is for the tenlers to be sent up to the Qolonial Jepretary's
