Hon. Mr E. A.Hewett presidede

All the Manbers present.

Dr Clark having signed his evilunce,

Shelton Hoopert- These are to be printed but I take 1 that only the evidence-

The Chairman:-

will be printed.

That is a point I am coming to.

e Shelton Hooper:- Here for instance is a part - I thought I was speaking

The Chairman:-

Confidentially and I did not think it was going into print.

It looks rather as if I had prejudged the case. (Quotes )

The reporter asked no particularly about taht and I told him

I wished these remarks made between ourselves to be taken

dowa but it is only for the information of the Commission

and I would not wish them to be published. It is really

merely for a record of what we gaid. What we publish will be

the evidence before the Commission and our report. If you

wish these conversations to be ignored by the reporter they

will be.

Ir Shelton Hooper:- Suprasing there is no witness here and we are speaking of

procedure I don't think it need be taken down if there is

nothing particular.

The Chairman :- Supposing thers was a difference regarding procedure? Would

it not be better to allow the reporter to take it down and I

would suggest that, in typing it, it should be on separate

sheets.

The Chairmanim

Notes of discussion after Mr Witchell's evidence revised.

I think ve might ask the reporter to put down these conver-

-antions but to type it on soparate sheets. It is then there . on record for our information, but it certainly won't go on

the Commission and won't be printed.
