Procurement of stores, etc.,

War office has instructed Commander-to-

Chief For East Land Forces to request you to submit demand through him for arms, clothing, stores and equipment (les aertain vehicles) on the scale for one Battalion (500 men), together with maintenance of the equipment and stores in 1949/50,

This demand will be accepted on the

assumption that you accept full financial liability es in paragraphe 2 (6) and 2(8) of my despatch No.16. I understand that cheapest possible rates will be charged.

3 Although demand will be submitted in the for lodd dom by the "Outaide Cuatoner" pzocedure, it will be treated as an exceptional demand end will be met with the minimum of delay,
