Trade Union nomination of Municinal Council members.
The attached memorandum prepared by the Tiahour Officer
sets out the considerations which incline this Government very
stmnely to annose for the present any proposal to allocate to
the Trade Tinions a lercer mumber of nominations than was
originally succested.
It is honed that in the light of the facts riven in
this memorandum, proposals to increase Trade Union nominations
will not be pursued for the time being.
