.You will wish to see the attached notes by General Anderson giving his impressions of his visit to Hong Kong. Although it does not add materially to our existing knowledge, it does emphasise certain points and, incidentally, provides a complete answer to the recent signal we sent off enquiring whether in the interests of food rationing, it was possible to control the immigration into Hong Kong.
