Surveyer, and if I cant jump it out myself, he has got to see it pumped out. If the drain is en a publie footpath, it is handed over to the P. W. D. to deal

with. If it is in a private house, a notice is served. It could easily be done by the Plague Inspector and

the Senior Inspector, just as easily as by the other

man.
