You would hardly call it an experiment when you spend something like $20,000 or more on a disinfectant, which is used very largely for the best part of the year. You have surely gone outside the experimental state. of course, yes. Then it comes back to my recollection, an other point in connection with Carbolosene was that
the Chinese preferred it very greatly to Jeyes Fluid. Į remember that distinctly.
Why ?
15.765
and
Because it cleaned up their houses. Jayes Fluid is not a good cleanser. If you have a greasy dirty floor, you rub it over with Carbolosane, and if you have another floor, and rub it over with Joyes Fluid, you will find that Carbolosene is superior, on account of its containing a great quantity of alkali. It will cleanse your floors far better than Jeyes Fluid, and that is a great thing for the tenant.
And have you of your own knowledge ever heard or seen

of the use of Carbolosene before the matter was brought
J.
to your notice here by Mr Reidis, or whoever it was ?

So everything was on the strngth of what you heard 15.767
here?
Yes, of local experiments, local trials, and reports. Do you know even now if it is used to any great
extent in the Hospitals at home?
15968
I could not tell you at all. I have seen it advertised
frequently.
I see Mr Reidis in that memorandum states it was in
general use in the Hospitals at home. Do you think he
is in a position to make a statement that is worth
anything ?

To, except so far as his reading of advertisements goes.
