Your name in full is Edward Osborne, I think ?
Yes.
17497
Well Mr Osborne, we understand that you are going to 17998 give us the benefit of your experience in Hongkong, which we know is very considerable, particularly relating to Chinese houses, and we will be pleased to
have anything you can tell us to help us in our work.
We will be glad if you will help us whatever you cas.
You have got a paper there -
I was going to say that before this Commission
appointed, I had in my mind to address the Government
on some points which I considered might with advantage
be altered.
17995
What? With regard to the existing Ordinance ?
And when the Commission was appointed, I then addressed
you, and I had better address my remarks to you. The
gist of these remarks I have embodied in a memorandum,
and perhaps it would save the time of the Commission
if I handed it in.
Perhaps you had better read it.
18-V00
It is only of course an expression of opinion, based on
my experience.
18001
You can give us your opinion based on the knowledge you
have. I think it perhaps better if ya will read the
inetor andun.
