Would you please explain the system of bookkeeping down

there ?

It is rather an involved agušen. Beginning at the beginning of it, animals are brought into the cattle

depot. Take the case of cattle first, the owner receives

a chit from the tallyman at the gate, a receipt for

the number of cattle he has brought in. Then, when the cattle are removed from the Depot, if they are removed for export, he informs the Assistant Shroff, - the

owner of the cattle informs the Assistant Shroff that

he wishes to export so many cattle. The Assistant

Shroff then makes out an order, which he takes to the

tallyman, who enters the number of animals and the

o mer in his book, and then he takes that order to the

PUBLIC RECORD OFFICE
