And I got a contractor to fill them up. And when they were filled up, I wrote to the Sanitary Board and said the ratholes were filled up "You had better send a Sanitary Inspector to see". Nobody came, and I went to the Sanitary Board Office, and they said "You had butter see the Sanitary Inspector of the District". And I left

a note. Nobody turned up for two or three days more, and these houses were leaned out to a man who made complaint to me. went and saw the Sanitary Board. Some Chief Inspector said "Very well, you tell your tenant to put his furniture where it will be quite alright". The man who had leased the houses from me said "You ought to get some ganitary Board interpreter". He said "You dont know if you get some man who is in collusion or something like that and the houses will be passed in no time". Some days after that, I got some more ratnoles in the

house,

and I said "You go and engage that man who does

not give any trouble" and he gave the man $12 a house t the contractor, and the thing was passed off quietly.
