The Barrack accommodation is not quite sufficient for the present Garrison and no provision has as yet been made "for any increase - but the question is - before the War Office.

It is

very desirable the Cantonment should be cleared of all private house property in

order to make room

for the troops

and this is being gradually

effected.

property at Kowloon and the

ground acquired on completion of the Praya Extension scheme should afford ample space for the-
