litary roads are nearly all of 4" unreinforced concrete. They are generally in very fair condition, but in several places the earth has slipped from under the road, leaving it dangerously suspended. So for these roads lave not boun severely tested, but it is doubtful whether they will stand up to modern loads and intensity of traffic, and therefore an extensive programe of road improvonent may prove
necessary.
