FUTURE PLANS.
The military plan is therefore based on the assumption that a force of one division, loss one Brigade Group, supported by Naval and Air Forces, will be available.

The broad dispositions of this force will be as follows:
One Infantry Brigade Group plus Divisional RECCE Rogiment and Divisional machine-gun battalion will be located in the New Territories. This Brigade Group will be responsible for controlling the Frontier and How Territories, excluding Kowloon, and will be ready at all times to be used offensively against any invaders.
One Infantry Brigade Group less one Battalion will be responsible for the defence of Kowloon.
One Battalion of the above Brigade Group to be in reserve on the Island and prepared to assist the Divisional Defunco Battalion in maintaining law and ordor in Hong Kong in the avant of civil disturbances.
