I am directed by Mr. Secretary Hall to refer to your letters of the 15th November and the 5th January and to express regret at the delay which has occurred in acknowleding the seven copies of your report on the activities of the Harbour Department and Air Services of Hong Kong from the 6th December, 1941, to the 25th December, 1941, which were transmitted with your earlier letter.
2. This report has been read with very great interest, and copies have been forwarded to
81r Mark Young and Mr. F.C. Gimson, as you suggested. The information concerning casualties has been noted and a copy of Appendix "A" is being sent to Lloyds Registry of Shipping with the suggestion that you may be able to furnish information of interest to them in settling any outstanding War Risks Insurance claims.
