I have the honour to refor to your despatch
No. 46 of the 11th June, 1946, on the subject of the
recommendations made by Air Commodore Darley's mission
regarding the construction of an international airport
in Hong Kong, and to transmit for the information of the
Ministry of Civil Aviation a copy of a report on Hong Kong's
air traffic potentialities prepared by the Director of
Air Services, Mr. A. J. R. Moss.
A further despatch giving the considered views
of this Government on the general question of the construc-
tion of a modern airport in the Deep Bay area and on the
quaetion of the proportion of the cost which this Government
will be able to bear if the project is finally adopted, will
be forwarded to you with the least possible delay.
