Iou will see that this question is to be discussed at a meeting of the Wireless Telegraph Board on Friday the 9th of August at 10 a.m.
We are not in a position to offer any criticisms with regard to technical details, and with no knowledge or Hong Kong it whbe a waste of time for me to attend. Moreover, I have another meeting at the same time.
Mr. Wynne Jones the Postmaster General of Hong Kong attended the meetings on this subject
when he was here, but he is now back in the Colony. It is quite clear, of course, that the Hong Kong Government is taking an active part in the deliberations and has in fact made proposals with regard to the sites. The only representative from the Colonial Office who will be in a position to help will be someone either with local experience or at any rate fully conversant with conditions in Hong Kong. Would you propose to attend or have you any suggestions to offer?
