Some time ago, Mr. Creech Jones asked me to
take the opportunity of discussing with Sir Mark Young the prospects of eup, lying rice and flour to Hong Kong. Sir Mark Young called yesterday and I told him the position including the last minute information which we had from Washington.
Sir Mark Young asked that copies of important correspondence relating to supplies of rice and flour to Ceylon could be sent to hin in future.
I do not think there is any outstanding action
on the papers on this file, which may be put by.
