Records in our possession disclose that on various dates
during 1944, the securities charged by you to this Bank to
secure overdraft or Banking facilities were returned to you
by the Japanese Liquidators against payment by you of
sums in alleged satisfaction of your indebtedness.

We neither regard the payment made by you as a discharge
of your obligations to us, nor do we recognise the action of
the Japaness liquidators in releasing our security to you.
We accordingly give you notice that we expressly reserve
our right to take such steps to protect our interests in this
matter as we may be advised.
