Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof,

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Coroners (Amendment) Shoe due. Ordinance 1980.

Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is amended-

Ardendment of section 2.

(a) in the definition of "coroner" by deleting "magistrate" and sub- (Cap. 143

stituting the following-

"coroner"; and

(6) in the definition of "official custody" by inserting after para-

graph (a) the following—

3.

"(aa) in the custody of an officer of the Independent Com- mission Against Corruptiou or other officer having statutory powers of arrest or detention; or".

Section 3 of the principal Ordinance is ammended by deleting Amendment of subsection (1) and substituting the following-
