An Ordinance to amend the Road Traffic Ordinancs.

Educted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Road Traffic (Amendment) Short dus. Ordinance 1980.

2 Section 29 of the principal Ordinance is amended-

(a) by inserting after subsection (5) the following —–

"(SA) Without prejudice to subsection (5), any coat or magistrate before whom a person is convicted of an offence under that aubsection-

(e) may disqualify such person from holding or obtain- ing a driving licence for such period as the court or magistrate thinks fit; and

(6) shull have regard to the facts of the alleged offence

in considering

() the amount of any fine, or period of imprison- mant, to be imposed; and
