5. Section 10(1) of the principal Ordinance is amended-

(a) in paragraph (a) by deleting "; and" and substituting the

following

"generally or for the purpose of any provision of this Ordinance!";

(b) in paragraph (5) by deleting the full stop at the end and substitut-

ing the following—

(c) by inserting after paragraph (6) the following......

"(c) the Governor may, appoint a public officer by name or

office to be the Air Pollution Central Officer.”.

6. Where an occupier has, 'before the commencement of this Ordinance, committed an offence under section 8(a) of the principal Ordinance or regulation 1201) of the Ckan Air (Purnaces, Ovens and Chimneys) (Installation and Alteration). Regulations and, but for this Ordinance, would not be liable to be prosecuted for that offence, by reason of section 26 of the Magistrates Ordinance, he shall, notwith- standing this Ordinance, not be liable to be prosecuted for that offence./
