Aa Ordinance to amend the Law Amendment and Reform (Consolidation)

Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and con- sent of the Legislative Council thereof,

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Law Amendment and Start útle. Reform (Consolidation) (Amendment) Ordinance 1979.

2. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding, after section 27. Maalton of The following-

28. (1) An agreement in writing, whether under seal or not, made with two or more jointly, to pay money or to make a conveyance, or to do any other act, le them or for their benefit, shall be deemed to include. and shall, by virtue of this section, imply, an obligation to do the act to, or for the benefit of the survivor or survivors of them. and to, or for the benefit of any other person to whom the right to sue on the agreement devolves, and shall be construed as being also made with each of them.

(2) This section applics only if and so far as a con- trary intention a not expressed in the agreement, and has effect subject to the agreement and to the provisions therein contained.
