Section 73 of the principal Ordinance is amended–

(a) by deleting the definition of "child"'; and

(0) in the definition of "parent", by inserting after "child" the

following-

"to whom section 74 applies".

Section 74 of the principal Ordinance is amended-

(4) by inserting after "primary school" wherever it occurs the

following-

"or secondary school"; and

(b) by Joserting after subsection (2) the following subsection—

(Cap. 473

(3) This section aball—

(a) with effect from 1 September 1979 until the expiration of 31 August 1980, apply to a child who has attained the age of six years but not the age of fourteen years; (8) with effect from 1 September 1980, apply to a child who has attained the age of six years but not the age of fifteen years; and

(c) octwithstanding paragraphs (2) and, (6), not apply to

a child-

() who has completed Form III of secondary education and whose parent can producą evidence to that effect to the satisfaction of the Director:

(0) who is a registered apprentice under the Appren- Uiceship Ordinance; or

(ii) who is attending regularly, or is an inmate of, an institution (other than a school) which is regarded by the Director as suitable for the child.".

The Third Schedule to the Education Regulations is amended in Form 13

(a) by deleting "primary school" and substituting the following-

"primary school/secondary school”; and

(8) by deleting "he" and substituting the following-

“小學/中學。
