An Ordinance to amend the Fire Services Ordinances.

[7th July, 1978)

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Fire Services (Amendment) Som dux. Ordinance 1978.

2. Section 13 of the principal Ordinance is amended by inserting Amendment p after "discipline" the following-

"ar whenever an investigation is being undertaken into any conduct which may amount to the commission of an offence against discipline by a senior officer".

3. Section 14 of the principal Ordinance is repealed and replaced by Repeal and the following-

14 (1) The Director may Interdict a subordinate officer

or member of other ranks from the exercise of the powers

and functions of his office whenever-

(a) he is charged with an offence against discipline: or

(6) an investigation is being undertaken into any con- duct which may amount to the commission of an offence against discipline and the Director considers
