An Ordinance to amend the Widows' and Children's Pensions Ordinance
1977.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Widows' and Children's Short te Pensions (Amendment) Ordinance 1978.
2. Section 28 of the principal Ordinance is amended by inscrling Awendigent el the following subsection—
1978.
"(4) A public officer in service as a public officer under the Govern- ment at the commencenient of this Ordinance who ceased or (24545 to be a public officer prior to the expiration of the period within which he may make an election under section 3010), shall, until the expiration of that period be deemed to be a public officer in service under the Government for the purposes of section 3(1)(a)(i).".
