An Ordinance to amend the Railways Ordinance

(26th May, 1978)

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong. with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Railways" (Amendment) Mor we Ordipance 1978,

2. The loog title of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting Amendment of "rollways" and substituting the following-

"the Kowloon-Canton Railway".

1. Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is amended by-

(a) inserting after the definition of "assistant general manager" the

following definition—

"deputy general manager" means the person appointed by the Governor to act as deputy general manager of the railway;":

(b) deleting the definition of "railway" and substituting the follow-

ing

"the railway" means the Kowloon Canton Railway, or any

section thereof, and—
