An Ordinance to amend the Adoption Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and con- sent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Adoption (Amendment) Sbon te mad Ordinance 1977 and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed commencement. by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.

Section 5 of the principal Ordinancs is amended---

Amendment of kertion 5,

(a) in subsection (3) by deleting "Subject to the provisions of cap. 299.1

section 11, an" and substituting the following-

*AD":

(b) in subsection (5) by deleting "Subject to the provisions of

sections 6 and 11", and substituting the following —

"Subject to section 6"; and

(c) by inserting after subsection (5) the following new subsections-

"(SA) A parent whose consent to an adoption order required by virtue of subsection (5)4) shall give that con- sent as the Director thinks fit in either the prescribed general form of consent or the prescribed specific form of consent.
