9. Section 30 of the principal Ordinance is amended-

(a) in subsection (2) by deleting "bad the prescribed practical

expericoce" and substituting the following-

"complied with the requirements of section 29A and, where appropriate, section 298 and intends to practise as a certified public accountant or public accountant"; and

(b) by inserting after subsection (5) the following new subsection-- "(6) If a professional accountant fails to commence practice within six months from the date of issue of the practising certificate the Council may cancel the practising certificate.".

10, Section 31(4) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "one thousand dollars" and substituting the following-

*$5,000**.

11. Section 32 of the principal Ordinance is amended- (a) by deleting subsection (1) and substitulng the following-

"(1) As soon as practicable after the fit day of January in every year, the Registrar shall cause to be published in The Gazette

(a) a list of professional accountants holding practising certificates for the period specified in such list and the addresses of their registered offices; and

(3) a list of firms of certified public accountants and public accountants registered under the Ordinance and the addresses of their registered offices.";

(b) in subsection (2) by deleting "list" in the second place where it

occure and substituting the following-

(c) in subsection (3)-—~

"lists"; and

(i) by inserting after "(I)" the following-

"(a)"; and

(i) by inserting after "amendments" the following-

"thereto".

12. Section 34 of the principal Ordinance is amended by inserting after subsection (1) the following new subsection...

"(1A) Where the Registrar has reason to believe that a profes- sional accountant may have been guilty of professional misconduct he shall submit the facts to the Council which may, in its discretion, refer the complaint to the Disciplinary Committee.”

13. Section 42(1) of the principal Ordinance is amended-

(a) by deleting "two thousand dollars" and substituting the follow-

ing-

"$20,000"; and

(5) by deleting "six" and substituting the following-
