(IA) Any person who has lawfully been a member of a regis- tered trade union may, upon his retirement on account of age or Ul-health from the trade, industry or occupation in which he wat engaged or employed and by virtue of which he was a member of the trade vaion, remain a member thereof, but shall not be a voting member.
(18) No person shall be refused membership of a trade union solely on the ground that he is casually or seasonally engaged or employed in the trade, industry or occupation with which the trade union is directly concerned,

(2) No person shall, without the consent in writing of the Regis- trar, be an officer of a registered trade union unless he is ordinatily resident in Hong Kong and is or has been engaged or employed in a trade, industry or occupation with which the trade union le directly concerped.".

Section 33(1Ka) of the principal Ordinance is amended by delet
ing "clerks" and substituting the following-

5. Section 31 of the principal Ordinance is repealed.
Section 57 of the principal Ordinance, is repealed and replaced
by the following—

$7. No person shall be an officer of a registered trade union federation unless-
(a) (1) he is an officer of one of the component registered trade unions comprising such trade union federation; and
(ii) be is ordinarily resident in Hong Kong; and (i) he is or has been engaged or employed in a trade, industry or occupation with which the trade union of which be is an officer is directly conccmed; or
(b) he is a voting member of one of the component registered trade unions comprising such ́ trade union federation.",
The Second Schedule to the principal Ordinance is amended in Item {h} by deleting "to the executive" and substituting the following---
"of the executive”.
