An Ordinanco to amend the Employment Ordinanec.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

[1st January, 1977]

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Employment (Amendment) Shon die wad Ordinance 1976 and shall come into operation on the 1st January 1977.

2. Section 19 of the principal Ordinance is amended—

(a) by deleting subsection (1) and substituting the following-

"(D) Subject la subsections (2) and (3), an employee shall be granted a holiday by his employer on each of the follow- ing days-

(2) Lunar New Year's Day:

(b) the second day of Lunar New Year;

(c) the third day of Lunar New Year;

(d) Ching Ming (##) Festival:

(e) Tuen Ng ( . Dragon Boat) Festival;

(the day following the Chinese Mid-Autumn ( )

Festival;
