An Ordinance to amend the Magistrales Ordinance.

Enacted by the Gavemar of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Magistrates (Amendment) Short G Ordinance 1976.
2. Section & of the principal Ordinance is amended-

(a) in subsection (2), by inserting after "such summons shall the go. 227)
following--
++ save as provided in subsection (3)"; and
(6) by inserting after subsection (2) the fallowing new subsections-
"(3) A statutory declaration by a police officer or olber officer stating that be delivered a summons to the person to whom it is directed personally shall on its production be admissible in evidence without further proof, and until the contrary is proved the magistrate before whom it is produced shall presume-
(o) that the facts stated therein are true; und
(5) that the summons was duly served in accordance
with subsection (2)4))).
