An Ordinance to amend the Estate Duty Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Estate Duty (Amendment) Sbo tik. Ordinance 1976.

2. Section 301) of the principal Ordinance is amended in the defini- Ameadowcat of tion of applicable Schedule" by deleting "means the Eleventh Schedule" section 3. and substituting the following-

“but before the commencemeat of the Estate Duty (AmendmenŲ Ordinance 1976 means the Eleventh Schedule, and in the case of persons dying on or after the commencement of the Estate Duty (Amendment) Ordinance 1976 means the Twelfth Schedule”.

Section 14 of the principal Ordinance is acended-

(a) in subsection (2) by deleting "prima facie evidence of the facts

stated therein" and substituting the following-

"sufficient evidence of the amount so claimed and sufficient Buthority for the District Court to give judgment for such amount"; and
